Dr. Leigh Kuyrkendall, DMD

Dr. Leigh Kuyrkendall DMD graduated from the University of Mississippi School of Dentistry in 2000. After practicing for thirteen years in Mississippi (with the exception of one year spent in Peru as a missionary dentist), she and her family moved to Chattanooga in 2013. She has loved working in the small community of Lookout Mountain and serving the families there.

She helped start a local nonprofit dental office for low-income patients called Revive Dental. She enjoys traveling, scuba diving, and painting when she is not at work restoring smiles.

Dr. Kuyrkendall is a member of the American Dental Association and the Chattanooga Area Dental Society.

DR. SYDNEY OLSON, DDS

Dr. Sydney Olson is originally from the Nashville area. She graduated with honors from the University of Mississippi with a B.A. in psychology and a minor in chemistry and biology. She went on to earn her doctorate in dentistry in Memphis at the University of Tennessee.

Dr. Olson is a member of the American Dental Association. She wanted to go into dentistry to help others feel confident about their smile, and to help the community be more comfortable going to the dentist.

In her free time, Sydney likes to travel and enjoys spending time with her family, friends and her two dogs, Lucy and Molly. She especially enjoys time spent at the Grove in Oxford, and anything to do with the Ole Miss Rebels!

Brooks, RDA | Scheduling, Insurance and Financial Coordinator

Brooks has been in the dental field for almost 30 years. She graduated from dental assisting school at Chattanooga State Community College in 1990 and has worked in many capacities in the dental office. She is the first smiling face you’ll see as you walk into our office. She lives in Flinstone, GA, and enjoys working out and playing with her dog Charlie in her spare time. She has been married for 29 years to Kevin Thompson and has two daughters, Shelby and Regan.

TINA | RECEPTIONIST

Tina graduated the Dental Assisting Program at Chattanooga State in 1999 and has worked as an RDA for 24 years. She and her husband live in the North Georgia area and love to camp and spend time with their children. She loves giving patients the best dental experience from the time they walk in until the time they leave our office.

Jocelyn | Bookkeeper

Jocelyn is a Chattanooga native. She is a graduate from Chattanooga Christian School and Covenant College, and has been a patient at Lookout Mountain Dental for over 30 years. She and her husband, Matthew, live in Lookout Mountain, GA with their five children.

Karen, RDH | Dental Hygienist

Karen graduated in 2001 CSTCC as a Registered Dental Hygienist and she began her dental career working for Dr. Watlington. She is a native of Chattanooga and is the proud mom of a beautiful daughter. You’ll find her many evenings after work at Bootcamp, as she is passionate about fitness and healthy living.

Lindsay, RDH | Dental Hygienist

Lindsay joined the Lookout Mountain Dental family in 2018. Lindsay considers herself a “Tennessippian”. A native of southern Mississippi, she and her husband moved to Tennessee in 2013. After a career of teaching, she decided to switch gears and graduated from Chattanooga State as a dental hygienist in 2016. She is an avid reader and traveler and lives with her family in St. Elmo.

Shannon Roth | HYGIENIST

Shannon is a 2003 Graduate from Chattanooga State. She is happily married to her husband of five years with their three dogs. She enjoys spending time enjoying the simple things in life: being in nature, listening to some live music, working out, or watching some good Saturday and Sunday football. She loves being a dental hygienist and helping people love their smiles.

Erika, RDA | Registered Dental Assistant

Erika and her husband are from the local Lookout Mountain area. Together they have two beautiful and active daughters and enjoy family time together and doing anything outside. She has been working in the dental field since 2007 and has enjoyed working in several different dental specialties. Her number one goal is to make patients feel as comfortable as possible and ease any fears of being at the dentist office. Erika enjoys being a part of a thriving dental practice.

Tasha, RDA | Registered dental assistant

Tasha is a graduate of Chattanooga State and has been a registered dental assistant since 2010. She enjoys spending time outdoors with her husband, son and dogs. They love traveling, boating, hunting, and fishing together. She is a great team player and always has a smile on her face.

Nadine, RDA | Registered Dental Assistant

Nadine is originally from New York and moved to the south 27 years ago. She and her husband have been married over 25 years. Together they have three beautiful children, a wonderful daughter in law and two adorable grand babies. In her spare time she enjoys exploring the outdoors, painting and spending time with her family. Nadine is passionate about her job and loves making people smile.

Dr. Rob Watlington, DDS, RETIRED

Dr. Rob Watlington DDS grew up in Jackson, TN, and received degrees from Lambuth College and University of Tennessee School of Dentistry. He worked in public health for two years before coming to Lookout Mountain in 1979 to start Lookout Mountain Dental. Dr. Watlington has three grown children and four grandchildren. He enjoys traveling with his beautiful wife Patricia and playing golf in his free time. Dr. Watlington is a member of the American Dental Association and the Chattanooga Area Dental Society.
